My name is Osman Kamara. I was born in the slums to uneducated, polygamous, Muslim parents. Though I lived in extreme poverty with no hope for the future, God was, and still is, always there for me and with me.
My name is Osman Kamara. I was born in the slums to uneducated, polygamous, Muslim parents. Though I lived in extreme poverty with no hope for the future, God was, and still is, always there for me and with me.
I immigrated to the USA, in 1991. I am a US citizen and married with two children. My family and I live in Middletown, PA. We are members of the Worship Center Church in Lancaster, PA. Prior to becoming a fulltime missionary, I worked as a Youth Program Specialist for Dauphin County for sixteen years providing counseling, safety, security and programs that help youth gain knowledge and skills to become productive and law abiding members of their communities. I am a graduate of Harrisburg Area Community College and Lancaster Bible College, with an Associates and Bachelor of Science Degrees in criminal justice and bible, respectively. I have been a licensed Minister and missionary/evangelist since 2000.
I am an elected board member for several organizations, a liaison, and conference speaker. I educate, motivate, lead, inspire, and organize mission trips with Horizons of Hope Mission. I am also the assistant chairman for Arms around Africa, an organization which provides support for schools, orphanages, churches, and community development projects. God has called me to live a life of service to humanity by bringing Hope, Help, and Healing in the name of Jesus – helping people find a personal relationship with God, through faith in Jesus Christ, filling needs and healing hurts globally. I believe I have been carefully designed, created, and called to make a unique contribution in the world. God has placed in my heart a passion for Him and compassion for people. I accepted God’s call on my life to be involved in His Kingdom building, and for the past fifteen years, I have been very active in Ministry
