Agriculture is a vital sector in Sierra Leone's economy and contributes about 40% of GDP, 10% of exports, and provides employment to about two-thirds of the population.

It has a significant effect in poverty reduction with the help of proper techniques, tools, and administration. We desire to help enhance agricultural productivity and promote value addition to domestic food crops, especially cassava and rice, the staple foods. Farmers in many parts of Sierra Leone depend on one crop – rice – which they eat every day. Because the worst poverty is found in the villages, we want to begin small industries to achieve economic well-being for their families, their community, and the nation
